“This is the start of a long and fruitful relationship as we take steps to reduce our carbon footprint, and become one of the most environmentally conscious motorsport teams in the country.”
Team HARD. Racing confirms an important partnership with Green Biofuels (GBF); a business that provides sustainable product solutions to improve local and global air through advanced fuels, additives, and abatement systems.
Since its establishment in 2013, Green Biofuels has developed a revolutionary fossil fuel alternative to diesel known as GREEND+. GBF is dedicated to producing fuels that provide clean air solutions and is the largest importer of HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) fuel in the UK. They have become the first HVO supplier to be approved by Zemo’s Renewable Fuels Assurance Scheme.
GBF aims to supply 10% of the market with GREEND+ in a bid to significantly reduce the emissions produced by transport, fleet vehicles, and plant machinery today. GREEND+ HVO has up to an 85% reduction in particulates, and up to a 30% reduction in Nitrogen Oxides, thanks to a special additive not found in any other HVO fuel.
With the KwikFit British Touring Car Championship heading in the direction of the hybrid era, we are presented with an ideal opportunity to start reducing the carbon footprint left by motorsport teams. GREEND+ will be the title sponsor on our Mini Challenge driver, Kenan Dole‘s, car and will feature on both of our CUPRA Leons, driven by Jack Goff and Jack Mitchell in the BTCC.
“Advanced fuels such as GREEND+ offer significant advantages over traditional types of diesel and contributes to cleaner air, better health, and saving our planet. Green Biofuels supply customers across several sectors with this transition technology as we lead the way in the journey to net-zero sustainability. GBF is helping the industry build a bridge between today’s and tomorrow’s technologies to ultimately reduce C02 and improve local air quality.”

Managing Director at Team HARD. Racing, Tony Gilham, said “I’m pleased to be welcoming GREEND+ HVO to our network of partners for this season and beyond. The deal is a fitting one as GREEND+ offers an environmentally friendly solution to diesel and with the BTCC circus moving into the hybrid era in 2022, our carbon footprint will be greatly reduced.
“When we met the representatives from GREEND+ our eyes were opened to the simplicity of doing more for the environment. I’d recommend this fuel alternative to any business owner who has a fleet of work vehicles. We have over 16 race transporters, all of which will run on GREEND+. “
The KwikFit British Touring Car Championship reaches its climax this weekend at Brands Hatch for round 10 of the 2021 season.
