Team HARD. Racing are delighted to announce that Sam Randon will be joining the team in our Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car for the opening round of the GT Cup championship this weekend at Snetterton. Randon, who has been racing with the team since 2018, will partner Ben Clayden in a partnership that offers one of experience and consistency.
Sam Randon is looking forward to getting back behind the wheel. “We’ve been deliberately quiet during the pandemic to allow our sponsors and supporters to focus on their families and businesses during these unprecedented times. As the lockdown is eased, I hope you are all well and looking forward to the future.
It feels a little like a move into the unknown for us this season. We finished 2019 on the up with high hopes of continuing in the Ginetta Supercup, supporting the world famous British Touring Car Championship, but that is not to be for this year.
But we are very excited to announce a return to the GT Cup in this wonderful Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car, resplendent in the Team HARD colours. I am looking forward to getting started and be at the sharp end of the GTB class this weekend. We can finally go racing again!”
Team HARD. Racing’s Managing Director Tony Gilham is delighted to have Randon back for 2020. “Sam has been fantastic for us since his debut in 2018 and has proved that he is a very capable driver in any machinery. This time around he will be pushing hard in our Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car at Snetterton.
We have a very strong pairing and will be aiming for GTB honours this season in the GT Cup to continue our success in the series after we won the GTA class last term.
It’s been a tough year so far for everyone and I’m so thankful that we are now able to go racing and put on a show for our fans and followers, starting this weekend in the GT Cup.”
